The three locomotives of the V29 series were built in 1952 by the Arnold Jung locomotive factory for the Palatine local railways Mundenheim-Meckenheim and Neustadt-Speyer. Fun fact for nowadays: The locomotives had no boilers, so a heating car with a tank filled with steam had to be carried in passenger trains. The locomotives were taken out of active service in 1980.

Only the V29-952, owned by the German Railway Association, still exists today and runs in tourist traffic on the Bruchhausen-Vilsen-Asendorf line in Lower Saxony. There on site, we took a close look at every detail in order to recreate this locomotive as precisely as possible. As we mean, a well-deserved homage to the last of its kind.
